REGISTRATION FOR 2008 IS OPEN! As of April 15, 2008, registration is open. There were some folks afraid we'd already sold out, because Google had mistakenly identified last year's site (BAB 2007) as current. We've taken down the old site, so hopefully Google will catch on soon. In the meantime, please tell everyone you know that we're looking forward to seeing them, and please encourage them to sign up NOW, because, after all we did sell out last year! We've already got folks coming from: Atlanta, GA
Tango, allow me to introduce Blues. I'm glad that you're both here, and I think that you're really going to enjoy each others' company. It turns out that you have a lot in common : both of you have parents from Africa, as well as Europe; you were both born destitute, and grew up in the shantytowns and the beaten-down shacks; and both sof you ended up slowly gaining acceptance from people all over the world, even though at first everyone thought of you as vulgar and uncouth. Of course, you have your own personalities, so and there are certainly some differences. Tango, you tend to pause to catch your breath right before you say something interesting. Occasionally people get the impression that you're haughty (but that's just because they haven't realized that holding your head high and moving bravely forward is just part of how you handle sadness). Blues, you're one of the best at sharing how you feel, whether that's happy or sad. Sometimes you can be real quiet, and then the next moment let out a wail – sometimes of sorrow, sometimes of joy. Some people find you a little risqué (but really, you're just so sad and lonely, you want someone to hold you closely while you weep). I suspect that you'll have a few awkward moments as you get to know each other. Relax! It's a natural part of meeting someone new. As long as each of you realizes that the other one means well, you'll be fine. Just take a moment to explain yourself, and you're sure to find some common ground.
